Abstract: Women entrepreneurs are vital contributors to global economic development, driving innovation, job creation, and sustainable practices. This study synthesizes the 2023/24 GEM Women’s Entrepreneurship Report, exploring the evolving landscape of women’s entrepreneurship across 46 countries over two decades. It highlights a 76% increase in women’s startup activity since 2001, emphasizing their pivotal role in sectors like sustainability and digitalization. However, persistent barriers—including limited access to finance, fear of failure, and inadequate networks—continue to impede growth, particularly in high-growth and male-dominated industries. Emerging trends such as digital transformation and eco-conscious business models offer transformative opportunities for women entrepreneurs to overcome systemic challenges. The study underscores the importance of targeted interventions, such as gender-sensitive funding, mentorship programs, and inclusive policies, in fostering an equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem. By addressing these barriers and leveraging new opportunities, this research advocates for a more inclusive approach to empowering women entrepreneurs globally
