Abstract: Entrepreneurship is the backbone of economic growth of every country. Entrepreneurship has traditionally been defined as the process of designing, launching and running a new business. Entrepreneurship is typically was a male dominated activity but as era changes women entered into the entrepreneurship field and achieve great success also. Each and every aspect of empowerment such as economic, social and political is incomplete without the contribution of women. Entrepreneurship is the main feature of empowerment. Women empower themselves in the every field and entrepreneurship is not left untouched. This paper focuses on the empowerment of the women by availing themselves of entrepreneurship as one opportunity and challenge.
