Abstract: Economic empowerment is pivotal in the advancement of women’s status globally, offering a pathway to autonomy and parity with men. However, significant barriers persist in workforce participation, wage disparity, and entrepreneurial opportunities. This paper explores these barriers, their implications, and actionable strategies for creating a more inclusive economic framework. The study draws on recent data, case studies, and policy reviews to propose recommendations for sustainable economic empowerment of women in India.
