Abstract: It is a well-known fact that Sexual harassment at the workplace in India remains a widespread issue, violating women's fundamental rights. Actually Sexual Harassment is directly effecting women rights as well as Human Rights in the society. Therefore a large number of studies and many intellectulas, social workers and NGO's have shown a major cause of concern to the problem of Sexual Abuse and Harassment at the workplace. In other words we can say that Harassment issue has become a burning issue and topic for social scientists. Keeping the fact in view, The Government of India introduced a Sexual Harassment Act in 2013 which aims to combat and highlights some issues related to injustices with women employees. The Employer has been enforced to constitue a Sexual Harassment Committee at the working place. The main role of the committee is to investigate the Sexual Harassment issues in the institution and some other working business premises. Despite occasional protests, most cases fade away silently. The 2013 Sexual Harassment Act was introduced to combat and address this injustice. This law defines the spectrum of sexual harassment and urges workplaces to proactively uphold a woman's dignity. This research paper aims to elucidate the Act's boundaries and guide organisations in preserving and defending women's dignity.
