Crafting Narratives for the Silver Screen: An in-depth look into Scriptwriting for Novels

Abstract: This study explores the benefits and difficulties of turning literary works into cinematic experiences, delving into the intricacies of crafting book scripts. This research explores the essential components of good scriptwriting, such as narrative organisation, character development, and thematic resonance, by critically analysing popular novel adaptations. The study also looks into how creative innovation and reinterpretation function in the adaptation process, emphasising how crucial it is to strike a balance between artistic freedoms that improve storytelling and faithfulness to the original work. The ultimate goal of this research is to advance knowledge of the scriptwriting process and how it shapes the cinematic experience.
