Abstract: The growing arena of technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI) has been casting its effect on script writing. The incorporation of AI within the creative sectors has initiated a transformative shift in scriptwriting. The controversies are emerging on the role of AI in script writing. The key question is whether AI would contribute to the development of creativity of writers or it would spoil the creative instincts of the script authors. This inquiry investigates the influence of AI on the art and techniques of scriptwriting, considering the use of AI-based instruments to enhance the processes involved in script writing such as conceptualization, narrative structuring, dialogue formation, and market evaluation. Although AI offers substantial advantages, it simultaneously elicits apprehensions regarding creativity, originality, and the potential marginalization of human authors. The paper attempts to present both prospects and obstacles for creative authors while writing scripts.
